MICRO LINKS MAINTENENCE RULES

Micro Links extensions have become popular and a go-to alternative to wigs and traditional weaves. It has versatile styling and can be undetectable.

Micro Links are known to last longer than weaves but many do not know how to take care of them. Keep reading for our top 5 maintenance tips. 

1. DETANGLE FREQUENTLY

 It's important to treat Micro Links like your own hair. The last thing you want to do is pull out your hair. Hold hair from the root while brushing in sections from the ends making your way to the roots. Ideally, we recommend adding some moisture to the hair by mixing some water, leave-in conditioner and oil into a spray bottle. We recommend using our detangling brush to detangle. 

2. DEEP CONDITIONING & CO-WASHING

Only use natural hair products/brands. You can check for the approved products on the Think Dirty site/app. Please only use sulphate-free products. 

4. AVOID EXCESSIVE HEAT

Heat can ruin your micro links, especially when used excessively and without a heat protectant. 

5. RETIGHTEN YOUR LINKS

Micro Links must be maintained and retightened every 4 weeks to avoid matting and breaking. This will ensure your hair will grow during your installation and it will last longer.
